"Hope in Action" is Hard at Work!

Hello Everyone!

If you are interested to live as Jesus did and help others, then"Hope in Action" needs you.  New ideas are welcome. This ministry goes beyond the parish walls to help others where we can.  This past year we decided to feed the hungry. Under the guidance of Molly White, Hope in Action has faithfully provided a helping hand at the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden.  They organized a sandwich making tradition at the Lenten intergenerational session, making 900 sandwiches. The Cathedral feeds upwards to 1000 people a day.  While we sadly miss Molly who has moved on to fulfill her career goals, Mary Delaney continued the mission.

Hope in Action worked with the religious education ministry by bringing the Sandwich making tradition to the Son Seekers summer sessions.  The religious education children that attended the June and July sessions made approximately 1400 sandwiches for the Cathedral.  We have 2 more sessions to go and our children are loving this opportunity to help others!

This would not have happened if there was not a Hope in Action ministry to get the ball rolling.  We have another important endeavor for those who can sew which will help cancer patients!

If you have ideas and wish to provide a set of helping hands, please contact Mary Jo Dwyer at 856-227-0555 or email: MJDwyer@ourladyofhopenj.org

Many Blessings!!!
