What Makes a Geat Catechist?

Being Passionate about your Faith!

MAKE THE MESSAGE MATTER, BECAUSE IT DOES!

Just as Jesus shared the good news with his followers, you too are sharing his role as catechists to his followers of today!  What an important role you play.  When you step before God's children know that you are representing Jesus and His church.

OLOH takes great pride in the Faith Formation programs and wants quality catechists.  Diocesan guidelines require all catechists to be actively adding to their faith knowledge by participating in faith formation offerings.  We go to great lengths to have on-site offerings and resources so that you can have easy access to them.

We have a variety of offerings sure to fit with your busy lifestyle. Cover as many topics as you want from the comfort of home, in casual parish settings, or in formal academic programs.  For more information please contact Mary Jo Dwyer at faithformationleader@ourladyofhopenj.org

RESOURCES:   DVD'S, GUEST SPEAKERS & PRESENTATIONS, BOOK CLUBS, SCRIPTURE STUDIES, ONLINE STUDIES, CERTIFICATIONS AND FORMAL DEGREE PROGRAMS (OFFERED ONLINE AND IN SEAT).

PLEASE NOTE:

All Faith Formation volunteers must be up-to-date with their CAP certification and fingerprinting!

CAP (Child Assault Prevention) is the safe environment training program for adults who have regular contact with minors. Attendance is required in order to comply with the USCCB’s Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The policy of the Diocese of Camden is that adults will attend CAP once every five years.  If you would like to become a volunteer or if you are a current volunteer who would like to check the status of your safe environment status, please contact Sister Dorothy Aliosio in the Parish Office at Sister Dorothy@ourladyofhopenj.org or (856)228-4331.
